The Beauty of The Simplest Things When, in the tumultuous Trials of days, I lose track of how Fortunate and blessed I am and allow dark Thoughts of all I want, All I wish I had, All I fear my happen Or the stinging pain of All the hard things That have already past To flood my mind, Then I begin to fall Headfirst into a well Of sweltering darkness And in that space, My suffering grows like A vine climbing a tree, Intent on blocking out the sun, And my heart gets Choked by degrees Understanding this dangerous Possibility, I am motivated To train myself to Watch every negative, Critical or fearful thought, And put out the sparks that Cause the emotional firestorms Which lead to so much Suffering in vain. Instead, a thousand times a day, I notice and declare the Beauty of the simplest things Which flow through my life. The more attention I give To the good, the more good Appears to pay attention to— And when I am wise, I keep this circle of good flowing, Begetting more and more good Until everywhere I look, Everything I feel and Every thought I think Is suffused with A heavenly glow. Breathing My Way To Peace and Freedom With every breath I take… I breathe in peace, I breathe out fear and pain. I breathe in serenity, I breathe out worry. I breathe in Love, I breathe out separation. I breathe in forgiveness, I breathe out anger. I breathe in awareness, I breathe out illusion. I breathe in patience, I breathe out judgement and blame. I breathe in gratitude, I breathe out unhappiness. I breathe in nowness, I breathe out hurriedness. I breathe in mindfulness, I breathe out distraction. I breathe in kindness, caring and compassion, I breathe out hatred. I breathe in presence, I breathe out lostness. I breathe in self love and acceptance, I breathe out low self esteem. I breathe in simplicity, I breathe out tangled obligation. As I breathe in all my good And breathe out everything dark and hurtful, Breath by breath, I am healed, I am rising and awakening, Becoming clear, conscious and free. November 28, 2019

Wisdom from Rumi, Translated by Chinmayan
As you start to walk the path, the path appears beneath your feet.
Stop acting so small…you are the universe in ecstatic motion.
These pains of the heart that you are feeling are messengers from God calling you within…listen to them!
You are not just a drop in the ocean—You are the ocean in a drop.
