LOVE WILL LIVE THROUGH YOU

Because Love is our purpose, our path and

I have always seen my writing
As something very important--
I have always had respect
And care for my own work,
Somehow knowing that it is precious
And that my work has it’s
Own work to do in the world,
Often in ways and places and for
People I may never know about,
But vital to their real needs and
Sensitively helping them face tough things--
A flash of Love in a loveless life,
A steady bright beam of light
Beating back the darkness,
An innocence and a nobility too,
Rarely seen in this self-centered world.
My writing is my gift to the world,
To those who, like me,
Are still out there searching
For the way to make
Love real, lasting and true;
To those who have lives of unremitting
Challenge I come tonight to say--
As long as you hold onto
Love, fiercely protecting
Your own ability to Love,
Not surrendering it to some
Nasty heartbreak, but defending it
Against all the clamoring
Painful hurt and fear...
As long as you live for Love,
Love will live through you...
And you—and me—will emerge
Victorious in the end.
