I HAVE LEARNED TO LOVE ALL THE SOUNDS ON STILL MOUNTAIN As The Symphony Of Daily Life I have learned to love all the Sounds that make up the background Music of our life on Still Mountain, A natural symphony playing night and day— The hum of the spa being heated, The soft hiss of early rain, The singing of thousands of frogs In the gurgling creek nearby— And the chorus of crickets serenading Each other all around our home, The sweet ebb and flow of the breeze Singing in the swaying branches of trees— And yes, the sound of many coyotes Howling at the full moon in the depths of night, And even cars roaring by on the curve in Our country road with loud blaring radios— I love the screech of red tail hawks As they hunt, flying high over our heads And the gathering wet winds which grow With the coming of a new rainstorm— The thundering crescendo of heavy rain On our roof and against the ground, The sound of fallen waters rushing by in Our brook to the creek and on to the sea— And most of all I love the fragile silence, The hushed expectant stillness in the hours Just before dawn when thousands of birds wake up Singing as they greet a new day of sweet sounds. A SPECIAL SONG AND VIDEO For You From Chinmayan’s Playlists.
“Narayana/For Your Love” by Krishna Das
In this wonderful song, Krishna Das blends traditional chanting and instruments with full on Rock N Roll, with a great back up band in full intensity.
Krishna Das uses the melody and lyrics from a 1960’s rock hit song with a sweet prayer chant invoking the presence of God…
Krishna Das performed this song for the world at the 2011 Grammy Awards.
Enjoy!
