If I Knew The Hour Of My Death If I knew the hour of my death— If I was shown the days, weeks and hours remaining— If I knew how this body would have its end, And the when and the where and the why— Then I am sure this knowledge Would lead directly to an awakened state, A spark to light the bonfire made of All the things I have always meant to do— But have not yet accomplished— So that in the rising flames and heat, I am sure I would be highly motivated To shake myself awake, aware and focused, To push myself past all limiting thoughts, To move out and move up to fulfill My divine purpose and the work I was sent here to do, without any More hesitation or reasonable excuses— Thus I remind myself that every passing Day is one more closer to my last, That the end could come at any time, That nothing in life is ever guaranteed, And that now is my time to light the fire And choose to use every moment left— While I still live in this magnificent body, And have this clear and powerful mind, As my own heart’s inner guidance calls me to For my own and everyone’s highest good. THE SIMPLEST THINGS I am appreciating and loving The simplest things in life— The graceful curving shape of This small cup and the Dark rich coffee savored, Sip by sip, on This cloudy morning. I am finding comfort In my own company— As I develop a deep Loving relationship with My own being living In this sweet body home And this mind now Finding deep meaning and Delight in this life and The lovely beauty of The simplest things.
