If you think you can’t change an unwanted situation, change your thoughts about it and your attitude towards it and the situation will change.
It’s Later Than You Think
Somewhere in a desolate remote part of China lies the crumbled ruins of an ancient emperor’s palace and capital city.
Nothing remains standing among miles of ruins except for one tall stone pillar in the middle of the palace courtyard.
Carved into each of the four sides of this monument is nothing about the vanished emperor, his greatness or his victorious battles, as one might expect.
In single lines of ancient Chinese language characters is this inscription, carved deep into the stone on all four sides—-
“It is later than you think…”

Whining Won’t Get You Anywhere You Want to Go
Recently I overheard a grandfather speaking empathically to his grandson: “Son, do not ever get into the bad habit of whining and complaining about your life! Remember this…Whiners never win! Whiners are losers because they always see life in the worst way and are always saying that life is too hard and that what needs to be done can’t be done. Whining won’t get you anywhere you want to go!”
Whining and complaining were bad habits that afflicted me for years until I realized that the more I whined and complained, the worse the things that I was whining g about would get!
Whining always made me feel bad and caused me to see things through black glasses that made the world, and my life, look dark, depressing and hopeless for days on end.
One day I realized that if I had such power to make myself feel so absolutely awful through believing the whining thoughts and my own dark words and complaints…then I also have the power to lift myself up.
I realized that I could make myself feel good and cheerful by choosing to believe consciously created cheerful thoughts and boldly saying positive things.
Once I saw this truth, I trained myself to think, see and say only positive, loving, uplifting things which affects myself and everyone in my life in a very good way, freeing me forever from despair, depression and anxiety about the future.

Over the years, this invincibly powerful attitude and way of living has become so ingrained in me, so much a part of me that I am almost always in a bright and cheerful frame of mind.
Now, when problems, challenges and difficulties arise, as they will inevitably do for all of us, my optimistic attitude allows me to believe I can and will work my way through them.
I now see the problems as the opportunities they really are, and know with certainty that I not only can, but certainly will, find the necessary solutions.
Now, every new day of my life is greeted with optimistic enthusiasm and I am mentally, emotionally and energetically free from the depression and despair which once dragged me down and caused myself and those close to me so much suffering.
My life is an ongoing joyous celebration of the fresh possibilities before me.
I am at peace, content with all that I have have and lift the spirits of everyone I come into contact with, from my closest beloved to total strangers.
I am no longer a prisoner of my own dark mind…and that makes all the difference!
