Today is special because it is a day for celebrating the close love relationships we are privileged to share, especially the romantic ones, that most of us believe to be the most important in our lives.
As I have been praying and meditating about Love in preparation for this story, I realized that there is so much I want to share that I have learned so far on my own journey of learning how to love…
Here are some key understandings from my life time of training in life’s School of Love, briefly sketched…
Everyone of us was born and sent to earth to learn the lessons of higher love, to develop our ability to love purely and unconditionally…and ultimately to love each other and all beings the way that God loves us, which is the highest form of true Love in the universe.
Love is the true purpose for our lives, and once we understand this, Love is always our guiding light.
The divine has arranged this plane of existence to be an advanced School of Love in which everyone of us is enrolled for training.
“There is no remedy for love but to love more” Thoreau
“Love’s greatest gift is its ability to make everything it touches sacred.” Barbara de Angelis
All relationships are destined karmic connections, especially those with our closest lifelong beloveds.
We are brought together with those who we are meant to be with, to fulfill our purposes together.
Relationships are essential aspects and elements of your spiritual path, and should be regarded as among the most precious blessings and opportunities we are being given so we can learn the advanced lessons on how to Love.
It is important to recognize your destined beloveds and open your heart to embrace the relationships for bringing and being the unlimited love lessons and potential for healing and growth they are.
Love is a pure expression of your own Self’s essential nature.
Love can grow and mature only when it is expressed and shared with others and yourself.
At present, we feel love for and share deep love with a few special beloveds, but our destiny as fully awakened souls is to learn to love others and ourselves purely and unconditionally, with only our highest good in mind, ever looking to nurture and care for each other.
Each love relationship has its purpose and potential for learning another aspect of love.

The romantic love relationship is meant to be the very closest love relationship of two people sharing and joining at every level of life and “becoming as one.”
As love grows and matures in the midst of the realities, pressures and problems of daily life, be determined to grow closer with your partner rather than apart as you work through the nitty gritty together.
It is very important to understand that “a deep and pure true Love relationship will bring up everything unlike itself to be healed, for healing of our heart and and soul wounds can only be done through the power of great love.”
The presence of real love will bring up all our deep wounds to be seen, worked with and healed as our love does it work of restoring us to wholeness and well being.
This is a process that will happen and if you are aware of this principle, you can welcome it as part of the true purpose of your love relationship.
Most are unaware of it though, and when “stuff” starts to come up in the space of love for healing, it is often so painful, scary and messy that the relationship is strained to the breaking point.
“We were born to Love; Love is our mother.” Rumi
“Life is the flower for which love is the honey.” Victor Hugo
A great relationship is either growing through your communication, shared experiences and constant attention..or its wilting and slowly dying and being taken for granted.
The wise person focuses on listening closely and really hearing what their partner is sharing about their needs and how they want to be loved and cared for, and makes giving them that their highest priority.
If you want to be loved, be loving…
If you want to be understood, focus on understanding your beloved…
If you want to be heard, listen to your partner with your whole being…
If you want to be accepted for who you are, accept your partner for being who they are.
If you wanted to be trusted and respected, be trusting and respectful…
If you want to have the very best partner, be the best one you want your partner to be…
If you want to have a great romantic life, be romantic in the way your partner wants and needs.

Let’s make being loving towards everyone and all beings our mission in life, for only Love can heal the wounds of the world and help us all become all that we are meant to be!
Oftentimes people want to be loved but do not want to give love. But by giving love we get back. When I learned that and made it a habit, I want to give even more and I feel that I receive tenfold.
