JOURNEY OF THE HEART

Even from the deepest sleep,
The divine wakes me
In the depths of the night,
Calling, calling me to arise
And take up the next steps
In this lifetimes long
Sweet journey of the heart.

To be one with my inner Beloved,
To be fully awake and
Dancing in the Light,
Surging ever higher in consciousness,
Ever nearer and nearer in
My inner Beloved’s pure love
Is the purpose of this birth
In this lifetimes long
Journey of the heart.

Even though this world seems
Enveloped in darkness and pain,
And even though I must inevitably face
My coming old age, sickness and death….
When I answer the calling in the night,
I realize I was born to be
Ever growing in the arms of the 
One who is ever here for me
On this lifetimes long
Journey of the heart.
