THE AMAZING POWER OF OVERCOMING MY OWN PAINFUL ATTITUDES— LETTING GO IS ALL I EVER NEED TO DO Taking Time Out For Tranquility Meditation After spending days and nights Tangled in sharp thorny briers, Which tore me with bleeding wounds Of anxious thoughts and beliefs, In a thick choking bramble of Overwhelming problems and Threatening situations which seemed To put life and death on the line, I remember to take a pause For just five minutes of meditation— And return within to simply Focusing my attention on my breath, Gently following it’s flow as it Comes and goes in natural rhythm Back into this very moment— The radiant inner sanctuary Where I see everything from A higher perspective and Powerfully positive attitude Which opens my heart to know That, in this nowness, letting Go is all I ever need to do. I discover that as I have relaxed, The thorns have turned into flowers, Sweet to touch and smell— A place good for resting In the Spring sunlight as all The mirages of misery fade away.
