THROUGH THE STORM To The Sanctuary of Love Within When I am lost and tumbling, Far from being in a high state, But am being torn apart By my own heart’s deep pain— When I have wandered off the path Into the wilderness of confusion Where dark fears are calling my name And whispering dark threats in the night— When I have gone awry while All I needed to do was keep on Going straight ahead—following the Bliss of being in tune with the divine— When my eyes are blinded by tears And it feels like I will never be able to Rise up out of these dark places Devoid of all light or love again— That is when its proved my Beloved Is always ever here within me, Gently leading me through the storm To the sanctuary of our sacred love. It is me who got lost and went astray But the Lord is ever watching And waiting for me to realize The perilous places I have fallen to— Then my whole soul cries out And every cell of my being Begins calling to the only one Who can save and sustain this son… And every time, I find my My broken wings are made whole again, That my devastated heart is coursing With the Beloved’s love and light again— And I remember all the truths I forgot in The halls of misery as the Lord speaks softly— “My son, I will never forget you… My child, I will never forsake you.” May 18, 2023 Still Mountain Retreat
