Pushing hard, I push out
Repeatedly beyond what
I thought was possible--
Out of the mundane and ordinary
Into the realm of
Power, mystery and miracles.
It is not that I go
To some other place,
But that where I am
Is being transformed by
My own inner work of the heart.
As my vision clears,
I see what is actually so,
And rise above the daily lies
We are so good
At telling ourselves.
To get beyond the illusion
And back to truth
Is the underlying purpose
Of all I do
And wish to do--
To be released from
The prisons of my own devise,
I must use the
Very snares themselves
To free myself from all snares—
For in seeing them,
I see how I came
To be ensnared and understand
How illusions can be dissolved.
I do not wish to fight
With my own darkness,
But to overcome it by bathing it
In waves of love and light.
