WE ARE MADE TO MAKE LOVE NOT WAR, TO TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER, THE EARTH AND ALL LIVING BEINGS There is so much suffering On this earth we share With all living beings That is caused by man’s Inhumanity to man. When I listen to the daily news Of all the pain and wars And treachery and selfishness Happening all over the world— Terrible things being done Every day to innocent ones by man’s Inhumanity to man— It breaks my heart to hear All the ways we hurt each other, For I know that each and Everyone of us is a holy being Made in God’s image for the Ever higher purpose of Learning the lessons of love. Love remains everyone’s greatest need That none of us can live without— Like a mother’s care for her child, Like a father’s care and provision— None of us would be living here Except for all the love that’s Been shared as we seek to find Our way back to the home we knew. The greatest tragedy for everyone is That we have the ability to love And care for all and make this Earth a paradise if we would Just open our hearts to learn The lessons love is always teaching— That our only true joy is found Through taking care of each other And our beautiful planet home— And yet we still allow I-me-mine To rule when all along the only Solution to our suffering and pain Is in learning how to love with Our hearts open and our minds on Fire to see, know and serve everyone.
