Every act of kindness reminds us that people are inherently good.
No matter how many terrible things we hear about on the daily news of people’s cruelty, violence and harm, there are far more acts of goodness and kindness everyday which we don’t hear about.
The beautiful truth is that thousands of people are performing meaningful acts of kindness, great and small, around the world everyday.
If these stories were told with as much fervor and dedication that news outlets put into broadcasting the latest horrifying things, people everywhere would be inspired to do even more good and kindness would become a worldwide pandemic.
The truth is that our human civilization is as good as it is for all of us, because of all the good people focused on being kind and doing good things in their day to day lives.
Our civilization would collapse without them and their acts of loving kindness and compassion.
“Some believe it is only great power that can hold evil in check. But that is not what I have found.
I have found that it is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.” Gandalf
It is good ordinary people doing acts of kindness that brings love, light and hope to others and the world.
Though we all look up to heroes who do extraordinary things to save lives, as well as all the fire fighters, paramedics, doctors, nurses and first responders who have dedicated their lives to serving others, we also need to be inspired to action by their example.
We need for all of us who are living, breathing human beings in all walks of life to answer the calling on their hearts to serve others with kindness and compassion, especially now when humanity is facing so many threats to its continuing existence on our planet home.

Kindness and compassion is not just a nice thing to do to make you feel good.
Our very survival and ability to thrive depends upon all of us waking up to the necessity of being kind and taking care of each other or the world of the future will be a terrible place of deprivation and disaster.
If we really want life to be good for our children and our children’s children in the future, we must take up the practice of love, kindness, caring and compassion towards everyone and all living beings today before its too late.
