WHEN PAIN BECOMES MY UNWELCOME VISITOR When pain becomes my Unwelcome visitor, appearing unannounced In this aging warrior’s body, I already know that sounding The call to battle will only Make this experience more Of what it already is— And so, I consciously choose to Greet it as a friend who Has appeared in my life To teach me humility, To help train me in the ways Of hurting which all of us Must face sooner or later— Thus, instead of resistance and fury, I gently open my heart to This new neighbor who has come Not to punish, but indeed To help me grow in greater Love and patient understanding. HEALING MYSELF FROM OVERWHELMING PAIN THROUGH CONSCIOUS BREATHING, VISUALIZATION, ACCEPTANCE AND CHOOSING TO LOVE MYSELF AND THE SITUATION
“I have had several major back attacks and healed myself by myself through using the power of conscious breathing…
focusing every bit of my attention on simply taking in one deep breath, while visualizing that it was prana filled glittering white light, holding it for several seconds….
And then exhaling, visualizing that the pain and its sources was being dissolved by the prana and being sent out of my body with each exhale…and then doing this exercise for hour after hour for 30 or more hours while lying in bed alone….
While consciously choosing to not allow all the wolf like fears that were howling in my mind constantly to not take over and keeping them at bay because I knew that if I didn’t, those fears would cause the pain to multiply and grow beyond control…
I consciously chose to accept the terrible excruciating pain that was suddenly afflicting my body and stop resisting and hating it…and kept telling myself “This pain is a temporary experience that will pass, and it is a precious opportunity that I have now to learn how to love and care for myself much more deeply than ever before.”
Through doing this inner work with absolute focus and loving intention, I was able to gently and gradually work my way through the storm of pain and slowly become completely free of it to the point where my back was completely healed.
Then, I got up from my bed, where I had been confined and unable to move for the day and a half of working through dealing with the pain…and feel the joy and sense of well being of having made myself completely well and pain free.
I had a renewed appreciation for the precious opportunity that this life in a body is…and for the power that we all have that we can tap into, when we really need to, that is within our own minds, hearts and spirits….

Thank you. I am in great pain a lot stemming from back issues and problems with an ankle I had broken twice. You have a nice approach to healing and widening our perception or level of consciousness is the way to liberation and truth.
