WHEN YOU ARE OUTGROWING WHO YOU HAVE BEEN

Terrified by all the changes happening
To his body beyond his control,
Believing himself to be just a caterpillar
After all that time crawling around—
And yet it is his destiny that is being
Worked out and the day will come when
He will emerge completely transformed,
Spread his bright and beautiful butterfly wings
And soar up into the limitless sky,
Free to fly away— a caterpillar no more.”

When you are outgrowing
Who you have been,
You may feel like everything
In your life is falling apart.
Actually, what is happening is
Your self and your personal world
Are being shifted and reorganized as
Your higher good comes through.
All that is happening now
Is meant to push you through
All of your old ways of being and seeing,
To breaking out of your old shell
So that you will grow and gradually
Transform into a higher version of your
True Self which is far more magnificent,
Powerful, conscious and loving
Than you ever imagined yourself to be—
You must accept that this is the truth
And embrace all the changes as they happen,
However scary, however painful they may seem
For this is the path to achieving your divine destiny
That you prayed and asked for so long ago,
Now being fulfilled in ways that you
May not see or understand yet…
But which will become clear
As you keep on moving forward
As you are being called and shown to do,
By your own “still small voice within.”
