SWEET LOVE’S BODY

Shooting across the desert
In our little car,
Early morning,
With the sun behind us, 
I let my eyes wander
From the long straight road
To the sweet curves 
Of your sleeping body.

I never tire of
Following the sweep
Of your smooth legs—
Spread in random,
But alluring grace—
One on the floor,
The other arched up
Against the door
In supine beauty.

I love the radiant 
Moonlike curves of
Your ass and 
The supple secret place
Where the flow of legs
Joins your body 

And I follow 
This flow up
To the little flat
Plain of your belly
To the round and 
Delicately pointed hills
Of your breasts
That I have climbed 
And treasured O so many times

And that I will
Taste and touch and kiss
Over and over again
To our mutual joy…

And then on 
Up to your neck
Softly covered with
Flowing long brown hair

To your face
Which, even in repose,
Is my beauty to behold,
That speaks to me 
Of your womanly receptiveness,
Your gentleness
That always carries
Your heart’s message
Of your love for me, 
Of our deep and growing 
Love for each other
And your spirit’s 
Devotion to the 
Source of all Love above.

As I watch you
With my wandering eyes,
I discover again and again
The luminous beauty
That is your body
And living inside your body—

And that I never tire
Of gazing upon or touching
With my love fully expressed,
For Love is the essence
That I am seeing and receiving—

That freely flows
Throughout your graceful
And O so sweetly
Beautiful body.

AN ABSOLUTELY PERFECT and WONDERFUL LOVE SONG to go with this poem! This is song is close to being the #1 top love song for me because it expresses so well having the highest possible true Love relationship, but then not being able to fulfill it and the longing for that level of communion is so poignantly expressed in this song!

I dedicate this song to Joan, who will understand perfectly why and what I mean….
