Thanks for all your words of wisdom. I can not seem to keep a set meditation practice. But as I am on the bus and street with dogs barking and crazy homeless drug addicts spewing negativity I will start chanting Om Mani Peymeh Hung internally. This often times creates an opening of hope in the environment that seemed plagued with nothing but disease. People will look at me like they just saw angel. And it seems that when I am looking into their eyes and am looking into something deep inside of them. Something beyond the surface level.

Absolutely! Yes, the more you do the Mani (as we call “Om Mani Paydmeh Hung”), the more deeply integrated into your soul and consciousness and the more powerful it becomes as it generates a force of Love which them emanates from your heart and being, first to you, then outwards to everyone around you everywhere you go.

The masters say that this mantra is so powerfully soul transforming that if an animal hears it repeated just 7 times that it will affect their stream of consciousness so much that it will rise in consciousness and receive a human incarnation in favorable circumstances for their next life…

Your description of its effects on others as you do it out into the harsh ordinary world are beautiful…and shows that your “Mantra Japa” (mantra practice) is starting to bear fruit!

Very good commentary on meditation. I too am a meditator.,There are many different kinds of meditation, but the ultimate discovery of one’s own true self made in the image of God is at the heart of it. After that, everything else as you said starts to gradually fall into place. Shanti, shanti, shanti...peace within me, peace with each other, peace in the universe ...peace... 🙏
